Installation “It is like it is – IILII 2.0” | Focus on Nature

Up until now, the installation „It is like it is“ was tangible, one could see it and sometimes even smell the tape. Now the installation has been extended by an additional sense: the acoustic. The initial version of the new sound design was created with the Berlin musician and producer Genetic Drugs and the new and current one with the Brühl musician and producer Andi Reisner. (The version that is currently running on this site!)

Focus on Nature - Sound-Update von "It is like it is" by Dennis Josef Meseg

The basic sound is distributed via 8-10 Sonos loudspeakers, set up in 4 different showrooms.

Sound generators such as a respirator, an ECG including heart sounds and alarm, the sono of an unborn child, different heartbeats and the hissing of oxygen bottles are used here. In addition, visitors activate various sound boxes as they walk through the installation.
The voices can be heard of politicians, VIPs, virologists and other people who have or had something to say about Covid-19.

The light design was also improved by different neon and stage lights shining through the dimmed rooms.
